REHOUSE is
CLOSING
Last Day is July 11th
Hello ReHouse Supporters:
As the seasons change, seasons of life also
change. For the past three
years I have been preparing for retirement. My hopes were for someone
to purchase ReHouse and continue with the rewarding work I started over
24 years ago. Unfortunately, the many avenues did not produce the
outcome for which I was hoping. So, I am letting you know that the
ReHouse store is closing, July 11
is the last day open to the
public.
Looking back over these many years, it has been
something I could never
have imagined when my goal was to save some house parts from the
landfill. My family and friends rallied around me, pitching in to help
in every way! My business partner, Kathy, drove over 100,000 miles to
get the store going and flourishing. But no one more than my awesome
husband, who has supported this project from start to finish, in rain,
snow, heat, blood, sweat and a variety of tears along the way.
The people I have met and so many have become
friends, have blessed me
exceedingly! It excites me to look back at photos of materials and
salvage jobs and think of how the homes and businesses of Rochester and
beyond are preserving a piece of local history.
With having employed over 150 people, more
friendships have been made.
The passion all these skilled people have for the community, and the
shared goal of reuse has made ReHouse a store loved by so many.
Going Forward: The store started a liquidation
sale this past week and the discounts
will increase every two weeks. Our hope is that an online store with the
ReHouse name will continue,
offering hardware, lighting, and other easily shippable items. So, stay
tuned for that development.
Gift Cards: Please redeem any gift cards as soon
as possible.
Thank you all again for your support,
encouragement, and love of
ReHouse all these years!
Keeping Reusing!
Sally and Dave
